Ok, from what our engineer figured out, here it is: RE: Export to Mastercam krustykrabs (Automotive) 22 Mar 04 06:48 x_t) into Mastercam, that way I know it is a perfect conversion. That said, I just bring it in as a "brick solid" (.sldprt or. Only has support for the basic features (extrude,revolve,fillet,etc.,etc.) and anything it does not support (lofts, hole wizard, etc.) get completly screwed up in the conversion. I have had NO luck with said Mastercam Direct importer. Allows the machinist to supress features during toolpath creation and what not. Mastercam recently came out with an add-in which attempts to bring in the feature tree from. You can always make surfaces from a solid.but not a solid from surfaces. Bringing an IGES into Mcam, the part is composed of surfaces (instead of solids), which is ok, but not as nice as solids. Once in Mastercam, the part is a true solid.which to a Mastercam user, is nice. x_t, which is the same thing- a parasolid.
X3 would presumably open 2009 as well, but I’ve never used it to check.I constantly go between Mastercam and Solidworks.Mastercam can open a. MasterCAM X will open SW2005 and previous files. MasterCAM opens native SW files, depending on which versions you have. What error are you getting? This is while transferring the program, or while attempting to run it?
Way too little information here for us to help you. Can anyone help me or tell me what I am doing wrong.
Then I send the G code to the Techno software and it gives me an error. I put in all the right info and it shows me what it is suppose to do. I used the contour feature and and the wireframe view and the chain. The only way is to import the file is by using the feature Manager from solidworks import to Mastercam feature Our team and I prefer to draw in Solidworks and then go to MasterCam to put the toolpaths on the object needed to be machined. I am having some problems with MasterCam, Solidworks, and the Techno Isel CNC software. I am currently using MasterCam for our CNC.
